“Mountains are built one pebble at a time and climbed one step at a time.” This is a quote of mine that I personally put into practice each day as I progress towards fulfilling my WHY in life.
The word pebble in this quote means that each action you take needs to be productive toward building your mountain of success. As I was retrieving a message today from someone who called me, I had to play the message 5 times to finally understand the phone number he left for me to call him back. We have always heard the smallest things – the pebbles – in life are the most important. Well, this week’s tip from me is the importance of the quality of your phone messages, which I call your voiceprint.
When you leave a voicemail message for someone, it is your “voiceprint.” It may sound a little crazy that my motivating tip for the week is “How to Leave a Message”, but I’ll bet that numerous people right now can relate to this. Everyone has had someone who called him or her and prior to calling them back they had a pre-determined feeling about the person before they even spoke to them live. The key is to have positive energy and confident words. Words are your #1 tool that God has given you to produce a super abundant life. Energy means to speak with conviction and confidence in your tone when you leave your message. You need to picture the person retrieving your message and ask yourself, “Will your message make them listen or just press fast forward?”
The following tip alone will earn you a million dollars! When you leave your phone number, speak in 2 second increments leave the area code first, pause 2 seconds, then the next 3 numbers pause 2 seconds and finally the last 4 numbers. You need to practice this! I guarantee that you will see results right away when you put this tip into action. They will remember you as the person who actually spoke clearly and slowly enough that they were able to write down your message the first time they played it. As a person who receives numerous calls daily, I can tell you that I cannot understand the message or phone number in 8 out of 10 messages, nor can I determine WHO THE CALLER IS!
Remember this “pebble of action” is one of the most important. Due to technology, your “voiceprint” is becoming the first introduction you have to many people. Also, do not assume that the person you are calling knows it is you. Always state your name and the best number for the receiver to return your call. You need to leave a clear, precise message, which reflects who you are…a person who knows their WHY in LIFE!

The Inner Secrets Of Leadership – Chapter 11 – Patience

Every thing you do has a gestation period. Just like a baby growing in a womb or a seed of wheat germinating in the soil, all processes have a certain amount of time in which the mystery of creation must work for maturation to be complete.
That’s why patience is, perhaps, the ultimate virtue of the leader. Just being a farmer ought to be patient while the harvest grows, each and every leader learns being affected person although waiting for the seeds to grow up in his or her existence. Patience is, maybe, the ultimate virtue of the leader.
Of course, patience is tied to planning. For example, if you know you must make one hundred cold calls in order to make five sales and it takes you a whole day to make five calls, then you know it will be ten days before you meet your quota. That ten day phase is the gestation period. If you try to shorten it because of personal financial pressures, you will injure the process. Patience is, perhaps, the ultimate virtue of a leader.
Patience involves consistency. You need to be steadfast and constant in allowing the seed of leadership to spring from the soil of your heart. I will also tell you that this is 1 of the most difficult inner secrets for numerous leaders including me. I’m so fired up and focused that I want results NOW, but that’s like wanting a baby six months after conception. It just doesn’t work that way. Extremely usually, NOW isn’t possible or even desirable within the larger pattern. Growth is really a process. Some things just take time to be able to mature correctly.

3 MLM Myths – Myth Number 3 – My Up Line Is the Best In The World

As you know, my responsibility is for you to fulfill your Why, live your dreams and earn your right to financial freedom. I want you to know what it feels like to set your own schedule, get up when you want to get up, spend time with your family and travel the world. After all, financial freedom is the main reason that most of us became involved in the industry. Now that you understand that I am looking out for your best interests, you won’t be upset when I tell you that your upline is probably not the best in the world.
A couple of days ago, I was on a coaching call with one of my elite coaching students when she told me that she felt guilty for sponsoring three people over the past week. This is the same person that didn’t enroll one person in the last three months. Now, let me tell you why. Her upline told her to build her business a certain way! If your upline is telling you to build your business a certain way and you are not having results, then you must realize that you own your distributorship. Of course, you were enrolled by your upline, and they earn a percentage off your efforts and your product movement, but your upline is not the person that should run your business. You’re an intelligent entrepreneur and have the right to make the decision to take control of your business if it is not manifesting and producing the results that you want.
If you aren’t sponsoring one to two people per week and if your check is not growing each month, then I challenge you to make a decision on the actions that you take every day. Be truthful with yourself! Are you on track to achieving your Why based on your daily actions steps? If your upline taught you a way of building your business that isn’t working, then CHANGE! Decide to change. Alter your habits. During my MLM Combat Boot Camps, the first thing that I ask the attendee about is his/her results. I don’t care about exactly what they are doing, but what I do care about is their ultimate results. Let me repeat myself, because that statement is very powerful. I don’t care about exactly what they are doing, but what I do care about is their ultimate results. Are you enrolling people? Is your organization building? Are you fired up and enthusiastic? Is your check growing?
Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” You are not able to give or be a blessing to others unless you earn income. Guess what? The vehicle of Network Marketing that you are in right now has produced thousands of millionaires, but sadly most likely you are not one of them. That’s why this book will result in a radical shift in the industry, because I am exposing the 3 myths that keep people from achieving their goals. Out of these three myths, this one is the most delicate topic to address. Many of you get so attached to your upline that you are not willing to spread your wings and fly. There’s nothing wrong with loving your upline unless your business is failing because of your relationship with your upline.
I’ve heard many of you say, “John, my upline is making twenty grand a month.” My response to you is, “That’s excellent, but what are you earning and have you moved to the next level?” You see, what your upline did to produce such a great income stream most likely will not work the same for you. Why? You may have a different personality than your upline. If so, then their techniques will not produce the same results for you.
During my MLM Combat Boot Camps, one thing that I do to assist the attendees is role-play. This exercise helps them tweak their personalities to achieve results, which is to enroll people in their businesses. Most uplines usually hand their distributors a script and say, “This is what I do.” Well, you are not your upline and simply handing you a script will never work. Don’t get me wrong, it is great for you to tell your upline’s success story, but don’t expect to duplicate their story and produce their results.
I appreciate that so many of you are dedicated to your upline, but you must realize if your business isn’t growing then your upline is not the best. Take a look at your genealogy or your organizational chart. If your company has on-line genealogy reports, then I want you to commit to checking yours over the next seven days. If your genealogy is not growing, then stop what you are doing! It’s not working! Analyze your daily actions and your results. I know that you are saying, “John, my upline tells me to build my business like this.” I don’t care. My coaching client that I spoke about at the beginning of this chapter sponsored more people in seven days than she did in the previous three months. How? She radically shifted her decision to take action and create habits that will produce the results that will allow her to achieve financial freedom through the industry of Network Marketing. Why did she feel guilty? Because she stopped doing what her upline told her to do and had amazing results. Should she feel guilty? No! She’s an intelligent entrepreneur that realized that she was not reaping the benefits of the industry and took action.
Here’s a wakeup call. It’s available for you too through the industry of Network Marketing. As most of you know, I was involved in four organizations, and I broke records in every single company. I don’t say that to impress you, but to impress upon you the fact that I do know how to build organizations and assist people in building multi-million dollar businesses. It’s a harsh reality, but many of your uplines did not work their way to the top. They were simply grandfathered in, bought a top position, had rollovers from other companies or have been with their company since the beginning. They never built huge organizations and have no clue how to train others to succeed in the industry.
Don’ let your upline keep you from getting ahead. I’m gonna repeat that. Don’t let your upline keep you from getting ahead. I know that you’re thinking that your upline does nothing but try to help you, but a lot of stuff that your upline is teaching you is not applicable to you. This is fact, and you must internalize it. You want success, and you are willing to pay the price to go to the next level. Feel and know where you want to go in life. Let me ask you a gut-wrenching question. Why would you trade your success and your future for a system that your upline is teaching you that isn’t working? Be honest. Why sacrifice your future? Why sacrifice your family’s financial freedom?
I’m not saying that some of your uplines aren’t excellent. Most of my students’ uplines are great and actually begin to work with them more when they start doing something that produces results. Why? Their checks go up too! If you aren’t willing to change the process in which you recruit and sign people into the business, then your upline’s check won’t grow and neither will yours. Isn’t time you realized that you need to change? Why postpone your future and your success any longer? Make a decision today to analyze your results. You can love your upline, but you must take charge of your business if your organization is not growing. I challenge you to make the decision to control your future, empower yourself as an entrepreneur and start doing things different.

Dreams that are Powerful

I recently spoke to a Youth Leadership Group, and I was deeply inspired listening to the dreams that the teenagers had for the future. While I was presenting, I felt the group of teenagers begin to realize that it is ok to dream and be proud of what you have done in your life and where you want to go in life.
By the age 25, most people lose all of their dreams and fall into a rut. From the age 25-65, people generally go back and forth to work and say to themselves,\” I wish…if only I could have…if only I knew then what I know now,\” and numerous other lamentations as to why they do not feel fulfilled in life. The key in life to feeling fulfilled is to simply listen to your inner spirit and make your daily work in life something that you love to do and will help you achieve your DREAMS! As adults, we need to realize that the power of a dream will enable you to achieve whatever your ultimate \”WHY\” in life is.
As a professional speaker and business coach, my ultimate outcome is to empower people to find their WHY in life — to catapult them to attain their dreams in life. I also spoke to the group about how important it is to be around a mastermind team, which will push you on and let you know it is awesome you have a dream. The key word in that sentence is DREAMS! Too many people when asked, \”Where do you see yourself 2-5 years from now\” give the answer, \”Just let me make it to this weekend.\” The underlying reason that they don\’t know where they are going to be is because they have no dreams. This can be extremely frightening! Each of the teenagers that I spoke to this week has dreams for their life and where they see themselves in the future.
As an overall population, over 95% of adults have no mastermind team but they have group of so-called friends, who will tell every reason why they should never try to win and to just accept their life. You need to stop right now and take a personal inventory of your life and ask yourself three life-changing questions:
1) WHAT is my WHY in LIFE!!! (Why I am getting up each and every day?)
2) WHO is my Mastermind Team?
3) WHERE do I see myself 2-5 years from now?
The key to living a fulfilled life is waking up each day with a driving desire to achieve your \”WHY\”. The key to winning in life is to be part of a winning team and realize life decisions are challenging but very beneficial. Bring your Dreams back to life!
