Who Needs A Mobile Phone With Large Buttons?

Nowadays as gadgets are becoming smaller and smarter, there is no place for a bulky keypad on a mobile phone. So, if you see a mobile phone with large buttons on display, you may wonder who buys such phones. Well, you may not know, but these mobiles are usually designed for aged people.
Well, in this age of fast evolving technology we tend to forget about the old people. They need phones too, so why not give them handsets that they will be able to use unlike the complicated ones. Certain cell phone manufactures have studied the growing demand of simple phones for the elderly people, who in turn make a potential consumer market.
You will agree that operating modern day mobiles requires you to be quite nimble with your fingers. These devices require advanced hand-eye coordination. But elderly people tend not to possess such physical dexterity and mental coordination skills. This is why they fumble with small buttons on regular mobile phones and often end up dialing the wrong number.
This is the first reason why a mobile phone with large buttons set up separately (not as an integrated keypad) is what an aged person needs.
You might be wondering why these phones have bulky keypad. Yes, bulky keyboard might not look very attractive but they are designed in a way to help old people operate the phone better.
Large buttons will also mean that numbers and letters printed on the button will be able to use a larger font than usual and thus be easily visible. The keyboard must also be backlit to improve visibility.
For people who are visually challenged, there are phones in the market which have numbers embossed on them; so that they can identify the keys only through touch.
So to conclude, senior mobile phones are a blessing not only to the aged but also for anyone who have impaired sense of hearing or vision or both.

Why I Love Video Games

It seems everywhere you look, whether it’s on the news, or in somebody else articles somewhere, people are constantly blaming video games for everything. Blaming it for a lot of the violence in the world, people even go as far as blaming it for ruining society. I completely disagree and i will explain why i do.
Video games for a lot of people is one of the only entertainments they have in their lives. Go to work all day and when they get home after work they turn on their PlayStation 3 or whatever system they use and go play games. Playing video games takes their minds completely off of the bad luck in their lives, they are concentrated on beating the level in the video game and are enjoying themselves. How do i know this? Because i know so many people i could never count them all of people who are constantly playing video games to enjoy themselves an take their minds off of the negativity in their lives.
People Blame video games for causing violence. That is ridiculous, if somebody causes uncalled for violence its because there is something wrong with them. It has nothing to do with the game they just played. I play video games that involve violence all the time and im a gentleman. If an actor does a movie where he kills 200 people in it, it doesn’t mean he does that in his real life. And its the same for video games and even music. If somebody is inspired by a video game to go around committing violence, its because they have mental issues and need help.
One of the main reasons why i love video games so much is because it’s a great social event. Friends getting together and playing video games is great fun. Life is about having fun and enjoying yourself, playing video games with and against friends is a very entertaining and safe way to enjoy life. It wouldn’t be a multi billion dollar industry if it wasnt enjoyable.
Its there for me when im bored, and its there for me when im sad. What would my world be without video games??

What Makes a VPN?

The world has changed a lot in the last couple of decades. Instead of simply dealing with local or regional concerns, many businesses now have to think about global markets and logistics. Many companies have facilities spread out across the country or around the world, and there is one thing that all of them need: A way to maintain fast, secure and reliable communications wherever their offices are.
Until fairly recently, this has meant the use of leased lines to maintain a wide area network (WAN). Leased lines, ranging from ISDN (integrated services digital network, 128 Kbps) to OC3 (Optical Carrier-3, 155 Mbps) fiber, provided a company with a way to expand its private network beyond its immediate geographic area. A WAN had obvious advantages over a public network like the Internet when it came to reliability, performance and security. But maintaining a WAN, particularly when using leased lines, can become quite expensive and often rises in cost as the distance between the offices increases.
Now, many companies are creating their own VPN (virtual private network) to accommodate the needs of remote employees and distant offices. Basically, a VPN is a private network that uses a public network (usually the Internet) to connect remote sites or users together. As the popularity of the Internet grew, businesses turned to it as a means of extending their own networks. First came intranets, which are password-protected sites designed for use only by company employees.
Instead of using a dedicated, real-world connection such as leased line, a VPN uses “virtual” connections routed through the Internet from the company’s private network to the remote site or employee. In this article, you will gain a fundamental understanding of VPNs, and learn about basic VPN components, technologies, tunneling and security. There are two common types of VPN. Remote-access, also called a virtual private dial-up network (VPDN), is a user-to-LAN connection used by a company that has employees who need to connect to the private network from various remote locations.
The telecommuters can then dial a toll-free number to reach the NAS and use their VPN client software to access the corporate network.A good example of a company that needs a remote-access VPN would be a large firm with hundreds of sales people in the field. Remote-access VPNs permit secure, encrypted connections between a company’s private network and remote users through a third-party service provider. A well-designed VPN can greatly benefit a company. For example, it can: Extend geographic connectivity, Improve security, Reduce operational costs versus traditional WAN. Reduce transit time and transportation costs for remote users. Improve productivity, Simplify network topology, Provide global networking opportunities, Provide telecommuter support, Provide broadband networking compatibility, Provide faster ROI (return on investment) than traditional WAN. What features are needed in a well-designed VPN? It should incorporate: Security, Reliability, Scalability, Network management, Policy management and etc. The ESP sets up a network access server (NAS) and provides the remote users with desktop client software for their computers. The telecommuters can then dial a toll-free number to reach the NAS and use their VPN client software to access the corporate network.A good example of a company that needs a remote-access VPN would be a large firm with hundreds of sales people in the field.

All About Reverse Number Lookup

Many sites will allow you to take a phone number and give you the information to find out who has been calling your phone and call this reverse number lookup. You can find the name, billing address and even the company that has been providing service. This can help you find out if it was a business or a friend you might have lost contact with.
There are many free web sites that you can use get this information, in which you can lookup residential or even toll free numbers. In most cases, you simply and put the number and a new page will pop up with this. Cell phone numbers may also be able to looked up, but many of these sites will charge a fee.
With the cell phones, the companies lease the information to these third party companies and they spend time and effort to compile them into a directory. Because of this cost to them, they do require you to pay for the information, but you can use it for many cell numbers instead of just one in many cases.
You will see cell phone lookups offer them for free, but this is a ploy to get you to the web site . Some of them may allow you to do the look up, but will charge you for the results. This information costs them, and the only way you will be able to access it is to pay yourself.
Some sites also allow you to be able to do a general background or criminal history or even if you have ever been in a civil matter. This can help you look at people you need to, but most times the phone reversals will not be included in this type of service, but they do have a number associated with them. They are also a fee based site.
A reverse number lookup can offer you a way to be sure the contact was from an old friends, be able to see who hung up on a call or even be able to obtain the information to giver to the authorities if you are being harassed.

Discovered: Live Streaming Of Tv

Most of us are TV fanatics that if we have free time, we’ll find ourselves in front of the television. And I’m one of those so called “TV addicts”. I’m very interested in all the software and hardware that appear in the market that offer great access to more channels. I search the Internet. I was amazed that many people are also searching on how to enjoy their TV watching to the highest level.
While browsing Net, there are various topics about having TV on your PC and watching TV online. Are these not interesting topics to read about? Actually, these are pretty much interesting topics. Why? Well, you don’t need to call companies that offer cable or satellite TV to have a wide range of channels. Such topics are helpful for it give you more information on how you can stream video from PC to TV. While learning the information related to such topic, all you need is a PCTV tuner and fast internet connection.
Suddenly, it crosses my mind that I want to watch those videos not on my PC but on our TV. So how I’m going to do it? I search on “streaming videos from PC to TV”. My first impression is that it will not be as easy as I thought it would be. I continue researching more, reading forums and such. Also, another option is the U-Broadcast. I searched for it and found that it is a product of Uticasoft. It is a webcam viewer, TV tuner viewer, video capturer and live- stream server.
There are many choices that came my way. And it’s really hard to decide. I also read the comments of other people about certain software or hardware to be able to stream videos in the most convenient way. Some successfully got what they want but then a flaw will be encountered. Then they will try other ways to stream videos. It consumes time and effort and money as well but it’s worth it in the end.
As I continue my search, I’ll find more methods, specific ones that I can share with other TV addicts out there. I will ask for other people’s advices on this matter. I will continue reading forums and blogs that will help me to have what I want.
It’s not only the thought of me able to stream videos but knowing how it’s done and me able to share it, gives others the chance to also enjoy the benefits of video streaming. Some people don’t have enough time like me to search the internet just to get information.
So I’ll pick one and I will try it. If it works, I will tell you as soon as possible. If I failed, I will still write about it but ask other people what maybe went wrong. Then I will try another one. I know that companies are dealing with this demand intensely so I’m not alone. Maybe tomorrow or the next day, video streaming will be as easy as no one as of this moment expect it to be. Then, my first impression will not last anymore.

Watch Tele Online Revealed
April 8, 2011 by Matthew Tregre

Think about the channels you like to watch at most. Does any of them belong to public television? No, it doesn’t, right? Why is that? What has happened to public television what made it so unpleasant to watch? In point of fact, the reasons are numerous and the main one depends mostly on the country we’re watching the TV from. In a few countries, television is being manipulated by the government.
Politics decide what is going to be presented. Usually – only the thing they’d like to watch. Things that agree with their vision of world, country, and politic. As a consequence, public television becomes monotonic in the most unacceptable way. If you didn’t follow the president, why would you be constrained on listening how wonderful he is? Political manipulation is the first argument why people decide to watch tele online instead of traditional, public TV.
What else should be mentioned? The two most annoying things in television are politics and commercials and – honestly – it’s difficult to state which ones are worse. Unfortunately, they usually walk together. Once one politic finishes what he wanted to say, another one begins. Once they both finish, there’s a great time for commercials. And so on and so forth. As for a usual TV watcher, it truly is annoying.
Unfortunately, once again there’s nothing usual people could do to change the situation. Or… The option is to watch tele online. Among a few other possibilities, this one seems the most easily acceptable for the most populous group. Only the technophobes would have anything against.
However, it still is not the end of public television drawbacks. If the politics and commercials are not enough, the attention should be paid to the choice of channels. How many channels public television provides its watchers with? Three, four, maybe five? It depends on the country. Nevertheless, why should anyone remain constrained on these few channels only? To watch politically manipulated news services? To watch propagandist movies describing “the only true history”?
It’s difficult to explain what has happened to public television. Unfortunately, the point is that it’s not going to work any longer. As a consequence, no one should be surprised with the fact that so many people decide to watch tele online instead. With unrestrained access to channels from all over the world and better and better quality, internet television becomes the best source of TV as a whole.
‘If it’s good, it’s never enough,’ they used to say. However, probably they haven’t mentioned television. Curiously, the popularity of today’s TV made this relation actual even in case of television. Weird? Unexpected? Not. Just the way things used to go. Maybe it would be better for people to watch less TV, maybe it would be not. It all depends.
However, there are people who don’t watch it at all, and also the people who don’t do anything else. For all of them different types of television are being prepared so that everyone could choose something that suits him best. It doesn’t matter if he prefers to watch tele online or through the satellite. The point is he has plenty of options to choose from what makes choosing truly problematic. Each of options could be good, nonetheless not for all. Which one to choose and when? Or – maybe – it would be better to choose all of them at once?

Accessories for the BlackBerry Style

Although the BlackBerry Style was recently released, it has already created a lot of buzz for those who are interested in this entry level smart phone. It carries on the legacy of the extremely popular Blackberry line of smart phones marketed by RIM, but distinguishes itself from many other smart phones already on the market with its startlingly low price of $99 after users complete and send in a mail in rebate. This fact alone is enough to draw many people into considering this smart phone above others, as any opportunity to save money in this economy is not taken lightly.
In addition to its low price, the new Blackberry phone has several interesting features that one wouldn’t expect for its price tag as well as budget accessories that enhance the phone. This article will discuss some of the features that make the Blackberry Style worth considering, and give you an idea of some of the cases and screen protectors you might want to consider when you bring this smart phone home.
First of all, one aspect of the Style that many first time smart phone adventurers will love is its inclusion of a physical, built in keyboard. The majority of smart phones a person can buy these days come with touch screens and digital keyboards. While some may have been adjusting to digital keyboards, there are still many customers out there who prefer the old school type of physical keyboards. Fortunately, the Blackberry Style bucks the trend of abolishing physical keyboards by including a small QWERTY keyboard to give users a more reassuring typing experience.
As described above, you can buy a number of accessories to help you be more productive or more entertained while you are on the go. While you can literally choose from hundreds of different accessories, one of the first you should take home is a case, as well as a screen protector. Neither of these are particularly glamorous accessories, but they might be the most useful ones you ever get for your smart phone.
The advantage of a smart phone case is rather clear: it protects your device from damage. Not every case can protect the phone from the most severe damage, but it does alleviate the risk of serious damage. Similarly, a well designed screen protector can be a quick and easy way to keep you from suffering a cracked, dented, or tarnished screen. While the Blackberry Style is a rather cheap phone as far as smart phones go, most people don’t have the money to buy another at the drop of a hat, which is why screen protectors and cases make sense.

Save Money With A Roommate

The choice to share your living space with another, has always been the norm among college students, but in this bad economy, it has become a positive move for many. If you are trying to decide between renting or owning your own place, your decision to opt for a rental property and a roommate may be the best choice. Locating a roommate whose lifestyle will be compatible with yours, is not at all difficult these days, as a large number of online sites provide services that match you with a roommate, based on what your expectations are.
A good way to start your search is to use one of the free roommate finder services. Such finders are Internet sites that will assist you in matching you up with a person who fits your profile. As an example, choosing a room mate who can share or respect the fact that you are a late riser in the morning, will be the right roommate for you. How do you go about shopping for an ideal room mate?
The initial decision you will have to make is whether you want a male or a female for a roommate. Even if you don’t mind living with a person of either gender, you should be careful about selecting someone to share your living space. If you are a female and you decide to let a male share the expenses and the apartment they have a completely different outlook on things than you.
The manner in which a group interacts and the ways they operate, is greatly influenced by the personalities that make up that group. For instance, when certain roommates do not make a lot of noise, and other roommates are extremely noisy, you are going to see many conflicts. It is important that you properly gauge the personality of each person before making your selection. In addition, you will also want to take into account a person’s interests and activities. If none of the roommates have anything in common, you are going to notice some tension.
It is important to make sure the expected length of stay is clear for all room mates. Rental agreements are often yearly commitments, but sometimes they can be just for a month or even a week. Making sure each party understands this commitment, and putting it in a written contract are very important toward maintaining good feelings between all parties. Talking about these issues beforehand will ensure you a pleasant and harmonious living experience with your new roommates.
