Work at Home – Stop the Fantasy

Everyone wants to get rich quickly and easily. But there’s no such thing as getting rich quick. Believing the hype surrounding get rich quick schemes can lead not only to disappointment but also to financial disaster. Getting rich is a slow process. There’s no quick way to a six or seven figure income. The promise of a massive payout for doing almost nothing or mailing chain letters is tempting, but it won’t get you anywhere. You have to ignore the gifting programs, ponzi schemes and the screenshots of massive paypal or clickbank payouts that are meant to draw you in. Don’t be fooled.

As the song goes, “Don’t Believe the Hype.” Don’t buy into the exaggerated claims and boasts of these schemes. The “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” scenarios they try to sell you are not realistic, and not fair to you. Someday you could be the person standing on the exotic beach with the beautiful ocean condo and the wonderful new car-but not using their schemes. They are not being honest, and they are trying to take advantage of you.

How to get rich quick

I’ve received emails and ads from people who tell me that operating an internet business is as easy as withdrawing money from an ATM 24/7. Well, what they forget to tell you is that in order to get money out of an ATM, you first have to have money in your account. I simply delete these messages without reading them. I don’t want to be lied to anymore, and you shouldn’t waste your precious time reading them either.

Why is it that whenever we thinking of online marketing, we conjure up images of instant riches? Don’t you appreciate rewards more when you have worked to earn them? When you develop your skills as a marketer, you know that you control your own destiny to a certain degree. You are not dependent upon the vagaries and whims of people who may not have your best interests at heart.

Through working to build your own business, you also develop the mindset, skills, talents, and work ethic to create wealth. If you hit a rough patch and lose all of your money, you will still have the confidence that you can rebuilt your empire. Wealth starts with your thoughts. Ask Donald Trump or Robert Kiyosaki.

Consider Donald Trump’s response when he was asked what he would do if he lost all his money. He simply said he’d be rich again. He’d done it before, and he could do it again. When you combine brains, action and motivation, you make wealth a habit.

Remember that accumulating wealth is a marathon, not a sprint. Have patience. Treat your online business the same way you would treat an offline business. You can’t expect to become rich overnight by purchasing a franchise, and by the same token you can’t expect to be rich 30-90 days after starting your internet business.

If you are one of those who say they will give their online business 60 to 90 days to bear fruit, then you will have better luck with the tomato plant. That is just not enough time for any business. You must become serious about building up your business, and be willing to invest the energy it takes for the time it takes. Think one to three years rather than one to three months. This is the kind of commitment it will take for you to eventually be able to leave your present job or become independently wealthy. Don’t underestimate yourself and don’t settle at the start for less than your dream.

It’s important as you build your business to consider what you want out of life. Although getting rich quick is tempting, getting rich forever is better.
