Looking for the right hair dryer may be a little confusing. What do you do with so many different kinds and types. I have looked at a few models and found the Chi hair dryers to outperform other varieties at a comparable price. You’ll find that the Chi is a little more expensive then than the generic brands but will give you a professional look to your hair. For ease of use and features you won’t find another dryer in the same price range.
Chi hair dryers can be found in several designs including the Farouk Chi Pro, Chi Rocket Hair Dryer, Chi Air Turbo Pro, Chi Nano Ceramic Hair Dryer or the Chi Mini Travel Dryer.
If you are looking for something that is powerful, will clean and soften your hair while it dries then the Chi Rocket Professional is one of the best you can buy for your money. With two heat and speed settings and extremely low electromagnetic frequency you’ll find your hair comes out like it’s been professionally styled every time. The chi uses negative ions to help clean and dry hair quickly. At 1800 Watts, combined with Infrared heat, it has enough power to dry even very thick hair quickly.
With the Chi Rocket you will also receive a number of attachments such as the comb attachment and concentrator nozzle. Chi hair dryers such as this make it incredibly easy to look like you have professionally styled hair. The results speak for themselves.
Of course there are less expensive variations of the Chi if you don’t need to have all of the additional features. You can purchase something slightly smaller at 1300 watts, although still with Infrared heat, therefore your hair is going to look great. One fabulous feature of all the Chi hair dryers is the very long cord you’ll get. There is absolutely no messing about trying to reach around to your hair with the cord still plugged in.
It’s difficult to find any fault with the Chi hair dryers. They are of a professional quality so will be very durable even with regular use.

How to Choose Cheap Hair Straighteners

Like a lot of popular brands, if something is a lot cheaper than the RRP then you really have to be careful that they are not fakes. When a price seems to good to be true, the product could be a fake. This goes for GHDs hair straighteners as well. If you can not afford the hefty price tag of GHDs then there are plenty of other options to choose from that will still give the same results.
If you are using hair straighteners everyday, then you need ceramic plates, as these will look after your hair and not damage it. If you are looking to only use straighteners every so often then you could consider using cheaper aluminum straighteners. This is not great for your hair though, and if used regularly will damage your hair and not do as good a job as the ceramic plates. The brands that come from China, are more than likely aluminum. Another problem with these though, apart from causing damage is that they are not dual purpose. Meaning that ceramic plates can straighten and curl your hair, where as aluminum can only straight and does not get hot enough to curl your hair to. So if you are looking for dual purpose then it is best to spend a bit more money.
Some famous cheaper brands in the United Kingdom are, Revlon and Remington which offer an extremely great choice in cheaper alternatives. Although they still may not be classed as cheap as you may hope, they still are half the price as GHDs. They are also made of ceramic and tourmaline that locks in the moisture of the hair and does not dry it out. These products are great as they are dual use, for straightening and curling, they will not damage your hair and ceramic lasts longer than aluminum.
The best thing is do when trying to find cheap hair straighteners is to investigate the true value of all brands. If you are going to fork out over 100 for some, are these going to last the distance and be good to your hair to make the spend worthwhile? Or is it better value spending half that amount on set of straighteners that last the same time even if they are not as good? It is really your choice and what you are going to use them for.
This will help you make the right decision when looking for cheap hair straighteners.

Are You Washing Your Hair Properly?
December 4, 2009 by Erica Mate

You may not think too hard about washing your hair when you have other things on your mind, but, if you want to make your life easier and not have hair problems, then perhaps you should consider asking yourself the following questions:
How often should you wash your hair? There is some difference of opinion here amongst the experts. Some would have you believe that you don’t need to wash it at all because, after a while the hair reaches its own natural balance and will stay that way. For most of us this is totally unacceptable as it seems obvious that really oily hair is lank, sticks to the scalp, and is deeply unattractive. There is also the need for most of us to remove the dirt and grime which must accumulate in the hair on your head. At the other end of the spectrum of opinion some trichologists maintain that you should wash your hair every day as you would your face, and, that provided you use the right products, your hair will not get dried out.
A certain amount of natural oils from the scalp is necessary for a healthy shiny head of hair but the trick is to get the balance right. Too much oil in the hair looks greasy and unattractive whilst too little can make it look too fly-away.
Should I use conditioner? If you are lucky in that you can wash your hair frequently yet it stays naturally shiny then you may not need conditioner. However, most people find that their hair benefits from conditioner. It helps to moisturise the hair, smooth the cuticle, and make it easier to comb through.
If however, your hair tends to be rather coarse and dry anyway, and looks even more so after washing, then it is a good idea to use conditioner. The important thing is to consider the natural tendency of your hair towards oiliness. If you have the type of scalp where your hair looks naturally shiny and oily only a couple of days after washing, then you don’t want too much conditioner that might make it appear even greasier.
What shampoo should I use? If your hair is healthy and a totally natural colour then any good make of nutritive or protein shampoo will be fine. Shampoos will tend to gradually wash out the colour from tinted hair, so in these circumstances you would do better to use a shampoo specifically designed for either blonde or brunette hair. This way you can extend the time between your hair colouring sessions.
If you prefer natural products you can get shampoos with chamomile for blonde hair or henna for brunette, and these seem to work quite well. If your hair is damaged, or extremely fine, then you should use a shampoo with the label “substantive protein”. Most shampoos are slightly acidic as this helps in restoring the cuticle and making the hair shine.
By the way, dipping your hair back in the bath is not adequate for rinsing. You should use plenty of running water to remove all conditioner otherwise the hair can look limp. Also do not use water that is too hot, as it could cause irritation to the scalp and lead to flaking.
Why not try alternating shampoos? You could use one type once or twice a week and the other once or twice a week. You could try changing brands every few months to make sure your hair is getting everything it needs to stay shiny and bouncing with health.
