Finding Your Niche

So you have bit the bullet and your ready to start making easy money online. Good call! It should of been an easy one since your about to get started and you still have not spent a dime out of your pocket. (Ok Maybe if you calculate power to run your computer, internet fees, etc…blah! never mind that.)

The first thing we need to do is a bit of research and find you something that is worth marketing. This from here on out will be refered to as your “Niche”. A Niche can be ANYTHING AT ALL. It can be something as vague as “baseball” or as defined as “teams who never won the world series”.

Finding a niche is not hard at all, but what is a little harder is finding a niche that is worth putting work into to make you some easy money online. There are multiple ways of locating a niche, some more obvious then others. One way to find what is popular right now is to use large E-commerce type sites like Amazon.com and Ebay.com and see what items are popping up on their pages.

Dive into different categories and see what comes up. Say for instance you look into the electronics category and find Nintendo Game Boys on the main page(Imagine if there was e-commerce in ’86 ok!). This would be a niche that is popular enough right now that the large corporations put it on their main pages as “hot sellers”. Take some time and go through the pages and find things that interest you. That is one of the most important things I can tell you if you really want to make easy money online. Find topics that interest you as it will only make things easier later on when it comes time to writing content about your niches.

Another method I use that most people don’t think twice about is checking on the world around me. I hope that all of you venture away from your computer at some point during the day! When you do, look whats going on outside right now. See what trends are popping up and what the new hot item is. I especially like to look at what people are peddling at the kiosks in the mall (From a distance though, I hate when they try and sell me stuff!). It could be the next big thing and we want to find that niche before it gets to big its not worth marketing.

Remember a few years back when you could not figure out what the big deal was with everyone wearing furry boots? The term “Uggs” is searched 2.2 million times per month in google alone, with a average cost-per-click (CPC) of $1.62 cents. You do the math, we both could of been on easy street by now, so get out there and find some keywords that interest you.

In’95 when the Internet exploded into the living rooms of people around the world, they could send email, read the news, look up favorite recipes, and search for “whatever”. Since then a number of people have been making some serious money online. We would like to present our 5 top picks of possible ways to make money online:

IDEA #1) You can write for Blogs (i.e.: Web Logs). If you write for some of the more established blogs you have found one of the easiest ways to make money online. This means that you don’t have to have to create your own web site, and you can still get between $5 and $100 for each article you write. The exact amount of money you will make is determined by a number of things such as: Alexa Ranking, popularity, Page Rank, RSS Subscribers count, etc. Here are some of the more popular blogs that are worth checking out:

a) ReviewMe b) SponsoredReviews c) Blogsvertise d) Payperpost e) Smorty f) Linkworth

IDEA #2) You can fill out Online Web Surveys. While some of these web sites are SCAMS, there are legitimate and profitable sites out there. You just need to do your homework to find out which is which. Be sure to check out their payment history, and see what other users are giving them in terms of comments and reviews. Here’s one potential candidate: CashCrate.com Check them out!

IDEA #3) Writing Content for Other Web Sites. If you have some knowledge that other people are always asking you about, people online will pay you for this info. Perhaps you have a certain technical skill, or hobby you enjoy? If making money in this way interests you, you should check out:

1) About.com 2) eHow.com 3) Helium.com 4) Bukisa.com 5) AssociatedContent.com

IDEA #4) Do Freelance Work. What does this mean? If you have knowledge or skill in the areas of: computer programming, writing technical documentation, designing web sites, drawing, etc., you can leverage this “know how” to make some easy money online. People are constantly looking for these skills, and are willing to pay the right person for them. If you think this is right for you, check out:

IDEA #5) Make money via online affiliate sales. Do you have an established web site that a lot of people navigate to? If you have a good customer base, there are companies out there that are willing to pay you to send customers there way. Which companies? You can find a list of these companies by checking in at: Commission Junction, ClickBank, Amazon, and LinkShare. All you need to do is put one of their ads on your web site, and whenever someone goes to their site to purchase an item, you get a percentage of the sale. With Amazon you can make anywhere from 5-15% for each product you help to sell. For Clickbank the rate rises to 50-75%.
